Jonathan and Bob are professional bloggers who have worked with hundreds of bloggers to help them get started and grow their blogs.
Bob’s Story
My name is Bob and I started blogging in early 2007 shortly after learning what a blog was. I still remember dancing around the living room after I made my first 7 cents from my blog.
It was a pivotal moment for me because I knew that if I could make 7 cents a day, I could continue doing what I did and continue to increase that number to a lot more.
And after 2 years of learning, consitent hard work, and prayer I found myself earning more from my blog than my old day job.
The Big Discovery
The interesting thing I have discovered over the years is that blogging success is a matter of two primary factors:
1. Knowing what to do.
2. Consistently doing it!
Looking back at my journey, I was okay with the second point, but it took me over a whole year of guessing before I even began to figure out what I needed to be doing.
The whole reason we created this 101 course was to help new bloggers shorten the learning curve and get further faster. I can’t help but wonder how much time and energy would have been saved if I would have taken a course like this one.
So whether or not you decide to join us in the 101 course, I encourage you learn what needs to be done as quickly as possible! Please don’t waste as much time as I did trying to figure it all out on my own!
Jonathan’s Story
Hi, My name is Jonathan and I first heard of blogging in the Summer of 2008. I was really fascinated by the idea and concept. It was about the same time that I began a personal mission to discover my true purpose in life. What I discovered is that coaching and mentoring others was my thing. Blogging then became my primary vehicle to pursue my dream.
I’m Ready to Fail at Something!
I had done so much reading and learning about blogging and online business that I was on information overload. I had no focus and didn’t have a clue where to start. But anything was better than doing nothing. I started taking action even if it was wrong. I saw a few successes but things still were not turning out how I had hoped.
A Turning Point
Finally, I started looking to other bloggers who were further down the road than me. I started asking questions, implemented what I learned immediately, and things slowly began to happen for me. I literally built my blogs on the confidence of others. I just knew that if I took the right type of actions long enough I could achieve the same results.
What Kept Me Going
So I started writing as much as possible. Honestly, I didn’t even care how many people were reading my posts. I was just excited to have a voice online that could help and encourage others. I built my blog on the success of others. I knew if they could do it, it was only a matter of time for me. Pick something you are passionate about, partner up with other bloggers so you can discover where you should spend your time (success leaves clues), and take consistent daily action. That is exactly what we hope to offer in BYP 101.
